The sweat poured by Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi has not been in vain. Their fight for equality and justice continues to inspire and awaken consciousness around the world. Peace is not the concern of a single person, but a seed to be planted in our hearts, nourished by our actions, so that it may grow and benefit present and future generations.
The most powerful weapon to achieve this remains non-violence, a legacy we must perpetuate. Let us draw inspiration from them and, following their example, live peace daily in our surroundings. Like Dillon Henri, Denis Mukwege, Amani Tom, and many other ambassadors of peace, let us commit to building a more just and fraternal world.
"A Homily for Non-Violence" is a call to action, a plea for a future based on tolerance and love for one another.
